The “2nd Nepal Festival Okinawa 2025” took place on Sunday, February 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Naminoue Umisora Park in Naha City, Okinawa. This event celebrated Nepalese culture through traditional dance performances, live music, and a variety of authentic Nepalese cuisine. Additionally, there were exhibitions showcasing Nepalese spices, traditional clothing, and tourism information. The festival also featured a unique blend of Nepalese and Okinawan comedy shows, fostering cultural exchange and mutual understanding between the communities. The inaugural festival in 2022 attracted approximately 2,000 attendees, highlighting the growing interest in Nepalese culture within Okinawa. While the 2025 festival has concluded, it is anticipated that similar events will continue to be organized in the future, offering opportunities to experience and appreciate Nepalese culture in Okinawa.
